چکیده
Background: Integrins are transmembrane mechanosensitive proteins that negatively contribute to the pathogenesis of different types chronic liver disease and can activate focal adhesion kinase (FAK). Objectives: This study aimed determine hepatic integrin β1 FAK mRNA as well transcriptional coactivator with PDZ-binding motif (TAZ) protein expressions in cirrhotic patients simple steatosis. Methods: In this case–control study, tissues were collected from 30 various etiologies (i.e., nonalcoholic steatohepatitis-, primary sclerosing cholangitis-, alcoholic-, autoimmune hepatitis [AIH]- B virus [HBV]/hepatitis C [HCV]-related cirrhosis [six per group]), samples steatosis (n=6), control (n=9). Results: Integrin gene expression was significantly up-regulated all groups compared group (P<0.05), exception AIH cirrhosis. However, TAZ level not than those group. Furthermore, lower steatohepatitis (NASH) (P<0.05). Conclusion: tissues. addition, FAK, β1, concordantly down-regulated steatosis, may have been involve development.

The regulation of integrin-mediated osteoblast focal adhesion and focal adhesion kinase expression by nanoscale topography.
An important consideration in developing physical biomimetic cell-stimulating cues is that the in vivo extracellular milieu includes nanoscale topographic interfaces. We investigated nanoscale topography regulation of cell functions using human fetal osteoblastic (hFOB) cell culture on poly(l-lactic acid) and polystyrene (50/50 w/w) demixed nanoscale pit textures (14, 29, and 45nm deep pits). Accumulating evidence reveals a significant correlation between angiopoietin 2 (Ang2) expression and tumor invasion and metastasis in various human cancers, but the major focus of recent studies has been on the angiogenic effects of Ang2. We recently reported that Ang2-stimulated glioma cell invasion results from the up-regulation and activation of matrix metalloprotease 2 (MMP-2) in tumor cell...
متن کاملDown-Regulation of Integrin β1 and Focal Adhesion Kinase in Renal Glomeruli under Various Hemodynamic Conditions
Given that integrin β1 is an important component of the connection to maintain glomerular structural integrity, by binding with multiple extracellular matrix proteins and mediating intracellular signaling. Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) is the most essential intracellular integrator in the integrin β1-FAK signalling pathway. Here, we investigated the changes of the two molecules and visualized the...
متن کاملFocal adhesion kinase in integrin-mediated signaling.
Integrins serve as adhesion receptors for extracellular matrix proteins and also transduce biochemical signals into the cell. These signaling events regulate such cellular processes as proliferation, apoptosis, migration and spreading. Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) is an important protein tyrosine kinase which mediates several integrin signaling pathways. Putative mechanisms of integrin-mediated ...
متن کاملAngiostatin induces endothelial cell apoptosis and activation of focal adhesion kinase independently of the integrin-binding motif RGD.
Angiostatin, a fragment of plasminogen, has been identified and characterized as an endogenous inhibitor of neovascularization. We show that angiostatin treatment of endothelial cells in the absence of growth factors results in an increased apoptotic index whereas the proliferation index is unchanged. Angiostatin also inhibits migration and tube formation of endothelial cells. Angiostatin treat...
